YOu dont sound too over weight to me, but who am I to judge?
5 pounds in no problem. I wish more people would make realistic goals like that.
Simple really…get on a excellent diet. eat three small meals (no larger than your fist) per day. then be sure and have 3 or so healthy snacks as well (apples..veggies. whole foods). YOu want you calories to be roughly 500 or so under what your body needs to get through the day (search for BMR calculator). but dont take away too many calories or you'll gain it all back.
if you add a cardio routine to this (running, eliptical, even just 45 minutes of jumping jacks) you'll lose the weight in 2 weeks. no problem.
